Hinge Health

Hinge Health is a back and joint pain care program based on proven guidelines and conveniently delivered digitally. This program is available to over 3 million participants. It has been shown to decrease pain by over 60% and 90% of users said they are less likely to get surgery. Additionally, improving chronic musculoskeletal pain can improve mental health; Hinge Health has been associated with a 58% reduction in depression and anxiety scores. If you or your adult family members are enrolled in our Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas health plan, the Hinge health program is included in your benefits.

Wondr 

The Wondr program is available to all UT SELECT and UT CARE medical plan members ages 18 and up, and the cost is fully covered by the UT SELECT and UT CARE Medical Plans. The Wondr program is covered 100% by your employer sponsored health plan as a preventive care benefit so there is no out of pocket cost for you. There are two program enrollment periods annually. Look out for the next application period in Fall 2024.

100% Preventive Care Coverage

The UT Select Medical plan offers many preventive screenings and services with no copayment or coinsurance as long as you see a network provider and meet specific screening eligibility requirements. Some examples of services covered under this provision include: 

• Routine physical exam
• Well-woman exam
• Immunizations – all ages
• Osteoporosis screening
• Colonoscopy
• Mammogram

Please be aware that you may incur some cost if the preventive service is not the primary purpose of the visit or if your doctor bills for services that are not preventive. Eligible services are outlined in the Federal Regulations based on U.S. Preventive Service Task Force Recommendations.
